[Re Post] 7 Benefits of Journaling

The power and ability to achieve greatness lies in everyone because, God has created us with the power to achieve greatness. Our imaginative minds cannot be fathomed. Every limiting factor that we might possess is as a result of our fears and mindsets.

I have discovered that journaling which is an act of writing down our thoughts freely is a great tool in helping individuals to harness their inner thoughts to an outward reality.

Journaling is a powerful tool of self discovery. While journaling, I would advise that you allow yourself to freely write your thoughts and ideas as they come to you. Take some time at the end of the each day or week to reflect on all that you have written in your journal.

The following are some of the benefits of journaling

1. Journaling helps you to build a relationship with yourself – It helps you to discover who you are. It makes you observant of certain patterns and qualities that are unique to you which you take for granted.

2. Journaling helps to reduce any stress that you might be feeling – Writing about your inner most thoughts and experiences helps to bring out things from your sub consciousness that you might not even know was there in the first place.

3. Journaling has healing effects – When you are able to put your thoughts and pains to paper, this is the first step in moving your self from what ever emotional pains that you might have as a result of issues that had taken place in you life or might be ongoing.

4. Journaling helps to identify inherent God given characteristics, qualities and strengths that you might possess.

5. Journaling helps to organise your thoughts and any ideas that you might have.

6. Journaling helps you to focus on what matters the most in your life and how to over come things that might be holding you down.

7. Journaling helps to develop any entrepreneurial qualities that you might possess – Ideas might come to you during the course of your daily activities that could lead to a viable business for you.

Journaling is a wonderful instrument that everyone should embrace. Be honest with your journal entries write just how you feel at that moment and reflect on it later.

Tips: 5 ways to Unclutter your Life From inside out

There is so much clutter in our lives not that, we intended for this to happen but as they say ‘life happens’ and things really becomes cloudy and suddenly we are far from the solutions we intended for our selves.
I would like to share some ways we can get rid of what ever clutter that we might have in our lives. It has got to start from the inside out. We have got to work on how we perceive things.

1. Get clear on your life Purpose – A lot of us are involved in meaningless work which has led to unhappiness and unfulfilled lives. When our purpose is clear, living the best life will come naturally. With a clearly defined purpose we will be able to know for sure what will be utmost beneficial to us. Stop pursuing those things that will not serve you.

2. Do what you are passionate about- What are those things that you love and have uncontrollable emotions about that are beneficial to you and others? Learn to do more of those things. Live life passionately and enjoy every moment of your day doing what you love.

3. Define your values – What are those things that you value the most? Make a list of them and try to weigh your values against what you engage in daily. Let everyday of your life be a reflection of those things that you value. Don’t waste your time on things that does not define who you are.

4. Journaling – Learn to jot down your thoughts daily. Never let any good idea pass you by. Capture them in your journal as they come. Journaling helps to relieve tension and helps to coordinate your thoughts. At the end of each day or week spend some time and reflect on what you have written on your journal and you will be amazed at what you have written.

5. The act of receiving – Learn to receive from others Let them know that you value their gift and their thoughts towards you. People feel honoured when you accepts their gifts.

Learn to practise the steps that I have shared above and deliberately work on reducing the overwhelm that you may find your self in; in the cause of life’s daily activities.
Do share your thoughts.

To your success,
Pamela
