Face Reality and Take Action
There has been an ongoing ‘Tsunami’ in the Nigerian banking sector in the past few days. People have been relieved of their jobs… You would have thought that people would be allowed to go through this yuletide season and management will do what they feel is necessary at a convenient time … Is there a convenient time to break bad news?
I greatly empathize with everyone that has been affected. May your eyes of understanding be opened to know that which you would do in the coming days. The loose of a job is not the end of ones’ life but I want you to see it as the beginning of a beautiful chapter in your life. The glass is never half empty but rather half full.
I was told of someone who lost his job sometime back … he wailed like a baby in the banking hall the day it happened. Story fast forward he found his bearing, today he is a mega businessman – he built his house and now his former colleagues are managing his accounts …. The glass is never half empty it depends on how you chose to see it.
As we approach a new year, a new beginning – I would like for you to take a moment and think about your life and the things you hold so dear …. Do they hold as much value as you place on them. Take stock of the year and I implore you if you are a worker – have a plan B. If you where asked to go from your job today, what will you do?
As we enter the New Year buy yourself a notebook and pen and write down your thoughts and ideas as they come to you … (I have four) 2010 is the year for multiple streams of income, don’t be left out.
As an entrepreneur take action for a better and profitable business. Have you been thinking of starting a business, well, sit down and make up your mind.
I pray for everyone that has lost their job that this week you will sleep like a baby and get visions and floods of ideas on what next to day. When you do, please take action and enter into 2010 with a strong sense of purpose. Remember this is the time to face reality and take action.
