Are You Creating Your Own Economy……..?
I can’t believe it is already the middle of the first month of the year. A lot has happened in my neck of the woods in the past days. The country has been on a lock down literarily due to national strike action. There are various issues that have affected the economy for too long and our standard of living is on a constant down turn.
This is where you and I step in; it is said that the best economy is your own economy. The only way to have your own economy is to create one. How can you create your own economy if you do not have a goal or a plan? Have you been able to set some goals for the New Year? If not don’t waste any more time.
The goals you set are what will set the tone for you and help you enjoy a rich personal economy. These goals will give you direction and help you to channel your energy in a productive way daily.
I would like to share some of my plans with you. This year I will continue with my main message which is helping women discover and live a life of purpose in business. In line with this, I will be appearing in series of radio interviews and programs. As part of continuously creating awareness for my books I will be featured weekly in the Naijasista on air book club on www.inspirationradiong.com every Saturday. Also a radio station is requesting my up coming book content for their women’s program. I will be using every opportunity to promote my book and workbook with the aim of helping women create a new life style.
My publicist is working on school tours for my book ‘How to Raise Kids without loosing it’ published last December. The school tour is being planned with the main theme being parenting and quality family life. You would agree with me that no one can live a purposeful life without taking care of every issue that affect them as a family.
Also during the year I will be launching an online ecourse , more on that to come in my subsequent posts.
I want to re affirm that my message remains the same which is helping women discover and live their purpose and I will continue to promote this both online and offline through my posts, books, ecourse, radio interview and audios. I will be doing a lot of audios this year.
I look forward to reading your comments and contributions. And guest posts are encouraged and welcomed. Contact me on editor@ladiesnetworking.com for guest posts

BUSINESS LESSONS FROM MY KIDS SPORTING EVENT
Few weeks ago, my kids had their inter house sports event. After weeks of practice we were all looking forward to the event. At least no more heavily soiled sports wear and socks coming home from school.
The pupils where in four different houses represented with Blue, Yellow, Green and red; they sat according to their various house colours. – Effective business branding.
During the event I noticed that the kids sat with their team members and did not mingle much with their friends or siblings in others houses. They were focused on their various events. How focused are you are you in your business?
It was clear to them that this was the event not the usual rehearsal. You could see anticipation on their faces. Do you have clarity of purpose in your business?
Everyone was determined to win their event.
At least 80% of the kids did not cling to their parents, they were happy to be with their friends and house mates.
This whole event can be related to your business. How do you treat your business? How focused are you? Are you able to separate friends and family from your business? Or are you like the kids whose main objective at the event was participating and winning.
Do you still see your business as a dress rehearsal, waiting for when it will finally take off? Well, the business has started and you have to be clear on where you want to take your business to and follow through with it.
Be determined to succeed in your business.
No one is an island in business associate with other entrepreneurs like you. Join a network group for entrepreneurs like www.ladiesnetworking.com
Do not forget why you are in business; put the ‘Mojo’ back into your business.
To your success.
Networking with a Purpose
I was at a networking event recently and I broke one of the rules of networking. I didn’t have my business cards with me. You can just imagine meeting a potential client and not being able to exchange business cards instead I had an excuse to mumble about why I didn’t have my cards with me.
As an entrepreneur, never leave home without your business card because you never know when they may come in handy. Make sure you dont waste every opportunity to share your business and show your brilliance to the world. Enough of the excuses I made a quick dash to the car for my business cards and I was back in business ready to mingle and network.
Another major NO at a networking event is going personal in your conversation unless of course you are conversing with a very good friend otherwise a networking event is not the place to do that. The people at the event are there to network for their business and not to hear your family story.
Before you step into a networking event it would be wise to ask yourself some questions.
1. Why am I attending this event?
2. What purpose do i hope to achieve for my business?
3. Can my business message be shared in a simple but catchy way?
4. Do I have my cards ready and handy to give out at the event?
5. How many people do I want to share my business with at the event?
Don’t over eat or get drunk but no one is going to fault you for over mingling and networking.
So the next time you are invited to a networking event go with a purpose: to promote your business.
To your networking success.
Business Secrets from Experts
Below is an excerpt from a video interview done by Jennifer Haubein of website2grow.com
These business tips are simple yet so amazing and can help your business to grow to the next desired level.
The Ask Factor
How many people are you reaching out to on a weekly bases not just to talk about what you do. Sometimes it is easy for us to share what we do, we share our ideas but are you giving people a call to action? Are you saying come to my telecast, have a complimentary section with me? A lot of people stop at the sharing part they don’t give a call to action.
A call to action is where you monetize your business and opportunities. Look at how you communicate with people are you implementing the ask factor. Every time you speak, meet people, network, make sure there is a call to action and you are asking people to work with you. — www.Helpmorepeople.com Read more
Marketing Plans: Taking the Customer Road to Success
Mass adoption of technology in today’s market place is changing the way entrepreneurs do business. Most businesses consider themselves strategic and tactical in implementing marketing plans and customer acquisitions; however it is increasingly clear that the customer is king again.
Nigeria a dynamic and fast emerging market presents one of the greatest opportunities for entrepreneurs. Its huge population of over 80% under the consuming age of 45, is however a fickle and copy cat economy, where new business concepts are immediately replicated across the country. Read more
Networking for Business Success
Can you build your business alone? Of course not. To succeed you will need customers or clients. Beyond that, you will find it easier to develop your new business if you have a great network of supportive people with talents and skills to complement your own.
Finding customers is one of the biggest tasks for any fledgling business. As well as developing a plan to promote your business through marketing, PR and advertising, you also need to network. A personal contact or recommendation can make it much easier for someone to trust you and give you their custom. Make a point of getting out to networking events as well as networking online. These are great ways to spread the word about your business. Read more
